Our History
Sparrowhawk Leisure was born in 2012, when our founder and managing director, Andrew Hamp, decided to make his dream job a reality. He began Sparrowhawk Leisure, an adventure recreation company, alongside his work commitments.
Andrew began by running 'come and try' sessions for archery and air rifle shooting in his spare time and set up a weekly climbing club, which still takes place today.
Thanks to Andrew's hard work and dedication, the Sparrowhawk Leisure Ltd Group has gone from strength to strength. In 2013, Andrew was able to start running the company full-time and now employs eight members of staff .
Archery Adventures was set up in 2014, offering a range of archery related activities, such as Archery Tag (as seen on the BBC) and Clay Pigeon Archery. Archery Adventures has continued to expand and now offers an extensive range of outdoor recreation activities.
In 2015, Sparrowhawk Training Services was created. They provide First Aid and Health and Safety training for businesses, groups and individuals.
In 2018, after having done a lot of work with schools and additional needs groups, Sparrowhawk Outdoor Education was established as a separate trading arm of Sparrowhawk Leisure allowing team members to concentrate on delivering outstanding experiences to schools.
